Halloween Jars and Gift Bags

HI there!! Happy Thursday!!!!
Today I'd like to share some jars and gift bags that I made this week. The jars were actually left over from some Teacher Appreciation gifts I made. I spray painted the lids black. Found some cute vintage images online and added stickles to make them sparkle. Then tied on a bow, chalk, felt and glued a glittery spider to the lid.
Here they are:

And here are the gift bags I used with some of the same vintage images.
I found these bags at the dollar store!!
I added my image, ribbon, and some silver star garland. I love using this stuff!!!

Thanks for visiting today! Have a great Thursday!!!

Halloween Treats

Good morning!!! All week I'd like to show you some halloween treats....not tricks! that I've been working on. Today  I will begin with these goodie bags. I found these adorable mini soda cans at WalMart. The 7up cans have a cute Frankenstein face on them. The Sunkist drinks have a cute pumpkin face on them, and both change colors when chilled!!! So fun!!!! I just had to buy some and make some fun goodie bags. I've included a mini bag of microwave popcorn and some candy. I finished these off with a cute bow and some adorable tags by Whimsie Doodles.

And here's the whole bunch:

I think these are so fun and cute! What a great gift for a friend, coworker, teacher or child!
Thanks for visiting today! Tomorrow, I will show you some cute candy bars I made!!!

Have a blessed Tuesday!!

"Selebrating" September!!

I know, I know...I spelled Celebrating wrong, but it looked so much better with an "S" since it's for September!!
Today I made a card for my sister. She absolutely loves the month of September! She has even declared it National Apple Month!
Here it is in her words: (I'm sure she won't mind me posting her quote on Aug.31st)

"Tomorrow marks the first day of my favorite month, September. I refer to her as the "Apple month". I love to incorporate apples in our daily meals and drink natural applejuice. I also refer to September as the "quiet month". She drifts in and out barely noticed like the first leaf drifting with the first breezes of Autumn. She is like a fine lady gracefully entering a room. Hail to September!"

So...here is my card for my wonderful sister!!!

Card Details: Digi Image: All That Scraps, Sentiment: Studio G stamps, Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket, Ribbon: WalMart, Misc.: Machine Stitching, Copics to color

I also wanted to show you a cute little container of Sixlets I found at WalMart. They are pulling out all the Halloween candy and I just love looking at it!!! I think I might decorate the lid with a cute digi stamp and send it to my son in college!!!

They even come with the ribbon!!! I can just see these decorated really cute and then put on a teacher's desk!!! They had other flavors but Sixlets are my fave!!!
Thanks for visiting today! Have a wonderful Friday!!! And a safe Labor Day weekend!

Goodbye to Summer

Well, today is officially the end of summer. Although, down here in south Texas it will still feel like summer for the next few weeks!
I love fall...I love the colors, changes in the weather,  fall foods, holidays, etc. !!! So I can happily say good bye to summer!
I have to admit, I haven't worked on any new projects so I don't really have anything to show you today. And...I can't find my charger for my camera ( I think my kids hid it!) so I can't really take any new pictures.
With that being said, I will leave you with some fun, summer pictures! Summer was great...but I'm ready for fall!

Have a blessed Wednesday! Thanks for stopping by!!!

A Bittersweet Day!

As you can see, I haven't been blogging daily and let me tell you why......I've been so busy with my  kid's lives this past week. I've got one starting his first year of college and though I am super excited for him, I am sad to see him go. I'm going to miss seeing him drive up after school with his little sister in tow, I'm going to miss listening to his music as he rides along with me, frankly, I'm just going to miss his presence in our household.

He is packed and ready to head off to begin a new chapter in his life, as I look at his boxes of belongings I can remember the day I dropped him off for his first day of  Pre-Kinder...he was fine. He didn't cry he was ready to go.
I have a very strong feeling today will be the same.
My son, Josh, on the left! Hook'em Horns! His bestfriend since Pre-K, is an Aggie!

God Bless You Son! I love you and will miss you.
Love,
Mom

Should I call this one "Wild Child"?

After spending many hours working on an outfit...I feel like I should name it! "Wild Child" came to my mind after creating this outfit! I used a technique from a pattern by Brassy Apple, then I embellished a tshirt to go with the jeans...and then, I couldn't stop there.....I had to make a matching head band!!!

I'm linking this outfit to a really cute site: Night Owl Crafting, I find the cutest inspiration here!

NightOwlCrafting

I think this one will go into my JustUsGirlz etsy shop.
Thanks for visiting tonight!!! I'm posting this early for Thursday because I just know my kids are gonna have lots to do. And when they have lots to do, I have lots to do!!!
Have a Blessed Wednesday night and an even better Thursday!

One Last Back to School Project...And Bows!!!

I promise!!!!LOL I know I've gone crazy making back to school gifts, but hey, they are SOOOO much fun!!!!
Lastnight I made these pencil bundles using a new image from Whimsie Doodles. I had all these pencils in my closet. I keep a rubbermaid box of school supplies in my closet to replenish my kids' supplies, but for the past couple of years they've been using mechanical pencils, so I figured I'd put my stash to good use!
I'm using this project  for a challenge over at Paper Playtime

I recycled some cans from lastnight's dinner and decorated them really quickly, can you tell!?LOL

Digi Image: Whimsie Doodles, Sentiment: Microsoft Word Art, Ribbon: WalMart
And one more project........
I've always seen these giant buttons at WalMart sold in 3's. They are so cute, but I couldn't figure out what else to do with them....then I thought...Hairbows!!!!!
So...I made 3!!! he,he!
**Sorry for the glare..it's not even 10am and the sun is shining so brightly! Gonna be another HOT day!
Aren't these buttons the cutest!? I wish I could figure out more uses for them. Any suggestions? I'd love to hear them!!!

Crafting with Erasers!

I found these felt chalkboard erasers at the dollar store the other day and just knew something cute could be made out of them. You can use this eraser on a dry erase board also.
I found this sentiment in my new PaperCrafts magazine, it was on a "back to school" card. But I just knew it would be perfect on these erasers.
I painted the top with black acrylic paint, and then used my white gel pen to write the sentiment. I then used my E-6000 glue to attach some buttons. I think I clear coat or sealant will make it last longer, I'll apply that tonight when it's not 101 degrees outside!!!

Happy Monday!

Wow! I am up bright and early this morning. Well, it's not bright outside...yet! BUT...it's early!!!!
So...I sat down with some hot tea and did my favorite thing......read some blogs!!!!
Look at what I found:
