Hi It's me...........

All of our kids are away at college, so I spend plenty of time missing them! My 2 boys live together and are about 2.5 hours away. My youngest, our only girl, lives 4 hours away. I've gotten over the "blues" about them flying the nest...but I still like to let them know I think of them often and miss them even more!!!

Sent this to my daughter.........

Card Details: Image-Heather Ellis (Pure Innocence), Papers-MORE Heidi Grace (LOL),
Stickles-Studio G, Bling-The Paper Studio, Vintage Seam Binding-Thrift Store find

And here they are...the 3 kids I miss so much! I am so proud of them too!!

Wow!! Can you believe I posted a new card everyday this week!?  It felt great to have 2 days off, and it felt even better to get some crafting done!

Have a blessed Friday!

Wishing I could....

Lately, I've been missing my sister. God blessed me with 1 sister and 1 brother, and even though they only live an hour away we don't get to see eachother as often as I'd like. So there are days when I'm really missing my siblings.

I am sending her this card...I'm sure she will enjoy it!

Card Details: Image-Heather Ellis, Papers: Heidi Grace, Stickles: Studio G., Bling: The Paper Studio

And a correction...on the last 2 posts using this paper, I stated it was Heidi Swapp..don't know where I got that!! It's actually Heidi Grace!  Sorry about that!!!

Have a wonderful Thursday!!!

The Latest "Buzz"

Hi there!!! Yes, I know..it's been a while. Sadly, I just don't have the crafting time I had as a "stay home mom". But now when I get to sew something up or make a card...it's a real treat for me! LOL

I bought this image the other day at Mo's Digital Pencil. I just love BEE images and this one I think is adorable!!!

The paper is a few years old, found it in my stash. I believe it's by Heidi Swapp, it was a 12x12 kit at one time...thank goodness I had some scraps I found were perfect for this image!

Have a wonderful Tuesday!! Check back tomorrow for another card using this same image!

Be Blessed!!

Easter Treats that keep on giving....

So sorry this is posting late. I meant to come back earlier during the week but our internet was down.

I wanted to share this idea with you. I found these super cute plastic mason jar mugs at WalMart for $5! With the bright colored lids and straw they are just adorable for those cool summer drinks!!!

I filled them with Easter candy and tied on a ribbon. I was going to add an Easter banner but forgot. Oh well...you get the idea:
Enjoy the candy today...and the mug for many more days!!! Great for those hot summer days ahead!

Hope you have a wonderful Easter!
God bless!!!

Happy BEE day!

Happy Wednesday to you! Yesterday I showed you that new Tiddly Inks image I inked it. I have a thing for "Bee" images. I have several by different companies. If you scroll down you will see one I purchased from Whimsiedoodles. I just love BEE images. Maybe because Honey has been in my family for many years! My grandpa and dad were beekeepers.  I've had uncles and cousins who sold their honey to Sue Honey, very yummy! And now my nephew is carrying on the legacy! You can read all about it here: Perez Beekeeping

So heres today's version:

Card Details: Patterned Papers: Unknown (scraps). Digi Image & Sentiment: Tiddly Inks,  Circles: Nestebilities, Stickles-Studio G, Bling-The Paper Studio

Just BEE Cause

Whoa!!! I cannot believe it's been THIS long since my last post!! Just over a month...and it's been TOO long! I really miss being a SAHM...but since all of my kids have left the nest to go to college I went back to work. I would love to be a SAHW (stay at home wife), but for now, I have a part time job. And..I do LOVE it! I work 20-25 hours at an office and still get to work at Country Hugs: making and selling my crafts! I have the best of both worlds!

I actually had some "ME" time Sunday afternoon to work on some cards. Oh how I missed that too!!! I purchased this one from Tiddly Inks on Sunday morning and couldn't wait to ink her up!!!

Card Details: Patterned Papers: Unknown (scraps). Digi Image: Tiddly Inks, Sentiment: Microsoft Word, Circles: Nestebilities, Stickles-Studio G

Every day is...

a special day! I really believe this..especially now. Just this past week, we have known 2 people that have passed on due to cancer, and one other person passed away in a car accident. Times like these make you appreciate life and realize none of us are promised another day. Each day is a gift!

I made this card last week for my Mom's birthday, and while that day WAS a special one...I believe that EVERY DAY is a special one!

Inside View:

Have a wonderful day!
Be blessed!!!

My $4 Wreath

Simple but sweet is what I call it. I picked up this star wreath at the thrift store the other day for $2! I really liked it's unique shape and little red berries.

I found this burlap wired ribbon and WalMart and fell in love with it. I have used this stuff on so many projects!

Put together they look like this:

I now have it hanging on my front porch. It's simple, but I like it.

Have a great day~~~

Is this a "Grate" idea...or what!?

Hey there!!! I am BACK!! I've been missing in action since before the holidays. With work, family, projects, I haven't had much "me" time. :( I really miss that.  I've been up since early this morning, so I've had some "me" time today...but will getting ready for work soon....so I better hurry!!! he, he!

I found these huge, decorative cheese graters the other day and when I saw them...my head started spinning!! My hubby thought I was crazy when I said..."I want them all!!"

Now of course they cannot be used to grate cheese, but they are pretty cute and practical in other ways:

1. Hang jewerly...or little reminders:

2. Keep in the kitchen to display a recipe card:

The possibilites are endless!! What would you do with a giant cheese grater?

Thanks for stopping in today, have a wonderful Wednesday!

My Thrift Store Wreath

Hope your week has started off nice. I am off from the office today, but work at the shop. I love working at the craft store during December. So many wonderful Chrismtas items to look at!

I'll have to share some photos with you soon. We've got some wonderful hand made items.

Today I'm sharing a wreath I made this past weekend, and most of my items used were from the thrift store.

I got the wreath for $1.00, the Noel Star still had the original price on it of $6.00 but I got it for $2. The red ribbon was 50 cents. The striped ribbon was brand new from Hobby Lobby.

I did add some lights that I already had, and made this:

Not too bad for under $5.00. And yes, I did clean off the wall after I took the photo. Ooops! LOL

Have a wonderful Monday!!

Christmas Oranges--A New Movie!

There's a new movie coming out..I read about it on Brassy Apples blog.
It's called Christmas Oranges.
This movie trailer touched my heart and brought back some wonderful memories of my late grandmother Lupe. Every Christmas she would give all the grandchildren a bag with an apple, and orange, some pecans, and some candy pieces. It was a special treat that we looked forward to.
I cannot wait for the release of this movie. What a wonderful way to kick off the holiday season!

Have a great Tuesday!!
