Journaling Bible: Fear Not for I am with You

Brrr! It's cold outside!!! We Texans are not used to these cold temps!!! But, it is winter, so what should we expect?!
I'm so happy today is Thursday..why? Cause tomorrow is Friday!I always look forward to the weekend. Love the slower pace of the weekend and enjoy being at home working on the things I love.

Today I'm sharing Isaiah 41:10-"Fear not for I am with you, be not dismayed for I am your God."

I love reading this verse, and reminding myself that I am not alone, I should not fear, God has my back...all the time.

For this one I used an old scrapbooking letter stencil sheet I had and penciled in the words "Fear" and "You". I then colored them in with my copic markers and outlined with an extra fine Sharpie pen. I used the same pen to write and draw a border around my verse.
Used some of my favorite washi tape and drew an arrow and I was done.

And here's a picture of our rescue dog, Handsome. He's in "stealth mode"....meaning he blends in with my bathroom rug!
He loves sitting there and keeps me company as I put on my make-up.

Thanks for stopping by!!!
Have a blessed Thursday!

Week 52:Planning for Christmas Week

Boy, this is gonna be a busy week. And honestly, I am not ready for Christmas!!! How many times in our lives are we actually ready for this big day??
It's not the shopping that is overwhelming me...it's the preparing. Wrapping, cleaning house, getting gifts out, cooking, etc. And to make matters worse I have been under the weather, my voice is gone, congestion, cough, fever..you name it. I just want to get to the day, enjoy it, and have it be over. :)

So...to help keep me organized this week, I've got my Personal size Ochre Malden:

I cut some cardstock down to use it as  a "base" to hold my "to-do" list. This is where I jot down all those things I will have to do.

Okay...now back to my busy evening. Hoping to have some quiet time to work in my journaling bible.

Hello from our rescue dog:

he's the love of my life.........

Have a blessed Sunday evening.

Who Rescued Who?

My son sent me this sign the other night that said, "Who Rescued Who?"

He said it reminded him of me and our new rescue: Handsome. I guess it's true to some point, because when I'm holding him, or playing with him, I think to myself...who's happier, Me? or Handsome? LOL

This was "Hank" and "Handsome" (we named them because they had no tags) back in September when we found them along a busy intersection about 5 miles out of town.
Hank is up for adoption at the San Antonio Human Society, I still worry about
him. I KNOW he's in good hands there, but I just hope and pray he finds a forever loving home.
We had 3 big dogs already, and just could not keep both of them.

And this is Handsome. He gets along well with our poodle Bella. They play together which is big plus, because Bella needed a playmate.

Have a blessed Wednesday!

Thanks again to Judy's Ark and Fresh and Clean Dog Grooming for all their help!

Week 45 in my Planner and Some Rescue Dogs.

This week in my planner I am using this cute dog character I just discovered: Boofle. Why? Well, read below:

About 2 months ago, we discovered these dogs on a busy farm road. Someone had dumped them there to fend for themselves. It took some coaxing but we finally got them to trust us and we put them in our truck and brought them home.

With the help of our local shelter: Judy's Ark and local groomer Fresh and Clean Dog Grooming, they were cleaned up, neutered, and given all shots. They were ready to be adopted into a forever, loving home.

We decided to keep the little one, he was named by our groomer: "Handsome". He got along really well with our black poodle Bella, so we decided to make him a part of our family.

Sadly, we could not keep them both. We already have 4 other dogs of our own.

Here's the before and after photos:

This was back in September when we found them. They slept in brush and among trash. As 18 wheelers and traffic went by them, they sat and waited for their owners to come back.

I named this one Hank, he is up for adoption at the San Antonio Human Society.

And this is Handsome today:

And these are my planner pages for this week...in honor of Hank!
These stickers are super cute. The dog's name is Boofle. Found them at WalMart in the card section.
I've never heard of this character, but
to me, he resembles Hank. A dog I am thankful I got to help.

This is in my personal size Ochre Malden.

and in my A5 Pink Domino.

Have a wonderful Sunday!!

Update on the Rescue Pups

Well, I've had these 2 guys for almost 3 weeks now, and they seem to be doing really well.
They've gotten all their shots and were neutered last week. Recovery seems to be going well.

We are giving them love and hugs, and tummy rubs.....hope they find a loving, forever home soon.
They deserve it!!

This poor guy, was hit by an automobile at some time. He suffered a dislocated hip joint, and all ligaments in his knee were torn. His hip was put back in socket and for now, he is on medication.

This little guy, nicknamed by our groomer: HANDSOME, is adjusting well.

The two boys are so attached to eachother, I would love to see them get adopted together.

I let Handsome in on Sunday, his favorite spot is on the couch with me.
I had Bella our black poodle at my shoulders, and Handsome at my feet.
Aren't they so sweet!?

Have a wonderful Thursday!!!
