Fridays are always fun because I get to show you 2 card samples!!! My first card is for the Raise the Bar challenge blog. The challenge this week was to use the colors: yellow, gray and white. I was so thrilled to receive my package of goodies from Kadie from the last Blog Candy I won. It had tons of Cosmo Cricket paper and I found the perfect sheet of paper!!! It's Finally Friday!!!

All week I've been trying  to slow the days down! My "to do" list was massive!!! I had to alter my daugher's prom dress for prom on Saturday. I  was asked to take in her bf's vest, I had a scrapbook to make for a Senior Ticket Raffle, I had taxes to do by the 15th, 2 letters to write, and my list goes on!!!LOL
I had to sneak in time to work on my card challenges for this week. And I have to admit, after working on all my "to do's".......my mojo was gone!
My first card is for our Raise the Bar Challenge blog. The theme this week was to make a card based on our favorite movie. I have to admit, I don't have much time to watch movies, and this one had me stumped. But then I remembered that The Wizard of Oz has always been my all time favorite movie!

I'm so behind....

So sorry!!! I have fallen behind for today's post!! I had some cards on the table ready to have their picture taken. Well, lastnight my 4 yr. old nephew stopped by to visit. He was hungry. We sat him down at the table to eat something, gave him some orange kool-aid to drink he grabbed the placement. I will leave the rest up to your imagination!!!
My first card is for Joni's Challenge at Raise the Bar challenge blog! The theme this week was April Showers! Make something related to the weather.
I am using this card:
Card Details: Digi Image: Phindy's Place, Dp: Making Memories, Sentiment: Microsoft Word, Mis. Ribbon, Button, Floss, Glossy Accents on the puddle and rain drops. Paperpieced the raincoat.

I wish I could show you the original card I made to use, but my nephew altered that with his orange kool-aid!

Finally Friday!!!

Wow! The week just flew by! I cannot believe it's already Friday!
Like always, I get to show you 2 card creations that I made specifically for today!
The first is for our Raise the Bar challenge blog. Last week's theme was Go Green there were some wonderful entries!
This week's theme is April Fool's! We are to create something that we wouldn't normally do, for example, make something country or vintage, or cutesy or emo!
So, here's my card:
Card Details: Sassy Cheryl's, Patterned Paper-My Mind's Eye, Flower/Ribbon brad-The Paper Studio, Sentiment-Studio G, Misc.--Pink Stickles, Ribbon.
What makes this card an April Fool's card? Well, I hardly EVER use black as a background color, and I tried using eyelet brads (a rare thing too) in the top corner, but that didn't go well....so I covered up my goof w/ Ribbon ties!, and I hardly EVER make blonde boys/girls--only because in my family, there aren't many blondes! :) and she seems to be dressed for the part---She's ready to fool someone with her cute little mask!!!

My next project is for the Ethereal Forest Designs blog. It's Sneak Peek week, so be sure to hop on over to the EFD blog and see all the wonderful new images available April 1st!!!
Here is my card using a wonderful new image:
Card Details: Digi Image "Jewel'd Flowers" by Ethereal Forest Designs, Patterened Paper Scraps-K&Co. and My Mind's Eye, Misc.-Dew Drops and White Ribbon, Black Pen to outline card.

On the inside I used more paper scraps and the sentiment: "Hope your Birthday blossoms into Lots of Dreams Come True", this sentiment is also available at EFD. Please visit Darsie blog for lots of fun and inspiration!

Thanks for visiting!!! Enjoy!

Trying to appreciate the rain!

I will not complain, I will not complain!!! I have to keep telling myself that. This has been a very wet winter for us, but in Texas....you can't complain! The heat will be here before we know it. Right now it is dark and dreary, but they are only forecasting sprinkles. But this weekend we are supposed to have THUNDERSTORMS!
So, for now, I will tolerate the rain because I know when our triple digits hit and we are working up a sweat....we will miss the rain and cooler weather!
