Bible Journaling: Colossians 3:14

Happy Monday to you!!

This is now Week 7 over at Documented Faith. The focus word for February is LOVE.

                                                      Page Details at the bottom.

This week's verse is in

Colossians 3:14

"Love is more important than anything else. It is what ties everything completely together."

I am using a Journaling Bible in the ESV version, so my verse reads like this:

"And above all these, put on Love which binds everything together in perfect harmony."

When we have God's love, we do things in Love. For example; showing compassion towards others, spreading kindness, practicing humility, demonstrating gentleness, and having patience. All of these are easy to do when you have love for others.

For this page, I used a little bit of everything. Various Stickers, some by Tim Holtz, some acrylic paint, stickers, Bo-Bunny stamps, epherma, and an arrow Paperclip I found at Michael's and Washi Tape for Target's $1 spot.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderfully blessed Valentine's Day tomorrow. I challenge you to spread some LOVE!!!

Bible Journaling: 1 John 4:7-8

Good Wednesday to you!!!

Today I'm sharing a page from my ESV Crossway Jornaling Bible.
The verse this week at Documented Faith is

1 John 4:7-8

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.

I think it's very appropriate for this month's holiday too!
Valentine's Day that is!!

Here it is:
On the Recollections card, I wrote a list of the people I love....too many to list, but I wrote down my closest ones. :)

Materials used: Polka dotted vellum and heart patterned paper (Michael's), Heart Washi Tape (Target $1 Spot), Recollections Library Card pocket/card (Michael's) kraft letter stickers (Hobby Lobby) Word Stickers (Tim Holtz) and Letter stickers (white letter on black) (Joann's Fabric Store), Plaid Ribbon (my sister had tied this around a gift) "Love Always" stamp (Peachy Cheap Deals)

Honestly,I hadn't worked in my Bible in months. I was in this "slump". Last weekend,
I atteneded a Women's Church Conference with a friend of mine. I had such an wonderful time, my soul was renewed.
On Friday, after receiving the email with this week's  Bible verse I was excited to read God's word and get some journaling done.

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a blessed Wednesday!!!

DIY Valentine's Day Banner

I hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday! On Sunday evening I was supposed to be cleaning my craft room aka guest room.
Funny thing is, instead of cleaning, I get hit with the "Crafting Bug"!
Ever had that happen to you??

With Valentine's Day coming up, I found a banner I had a bought at Target's Dollar Spot...it's a super cute, ready to embellish banner for $1!! It came with 8 triangles to decorate, but I only needed 4, so now I have 4 left for another banner!

As I was cleaning, I found lots of little things to put on m banner. A baggy of ribbons and trims.
A sheet of rhinestone stickers (left over from my Faith Banner), a jar of buttons and some twine.

I looked around for some letters to put on my banner and found a box of letters from my old scrapbooking days. The brand on these is Kurio. I was so disappointed because I couldn't find an "O"...BUT, I did find a "Q", SO, because I live out in the country and can't just run to the craft store, and because I was too lazy to look for more letters....I  trimmed it up to MAKE it an "O"!! And it worked!!!

I tried different trims of lace and ribbon until I liked what I saw. I then used my hot glue gun to attach all the cuties!

And I came up with this:

And here's my banner again!!! Very inexpensive and quick to put together. My favorite kind of crafting project!!

Have a blessed day!!!

Valentine's M&M Stix

Good afternoon!!!
We are having a beautiful day here in South Texas! The sun is shining and it's cool but not cold. So..you think with the sunshine I'd have tons of energy today...well, I don't. I've been so lazy it's silly!!!

I did work on some stuff yesterday, and would like to share with you a super cute Valentine's Day treat. I can also see these for any special occasion!

I got this idea off of another blog, but my mind is blank right now, and I can't remember the name. So sorry.

Please forgive my "unprofessional" photos. I have a new computer, but it didn't come with any photo editting software, so I didn't get to crop them. I'm hoping when my college son gets home, he can help me out with this! LOL

Here they are:
On these, I used some mini valentine digi images from Whimsiedoodles. This is from last years collection.

On these, I used some layered, felt hearts I found at Hobby Lobby.
I bought these bags, measuring 1x8 online from:

Tomorrow, I'd like to show you a card I'm working on using today's new releases by
Meljens Designs January 27th Release Display
Have a wonderful Thursday!

A Digi Image named after me??

Well, I'd love to believe that...but no, it's not true!LOL These digi images are named "Audrey" but I'm not the "Audrey" she speaks of, it's actually her daughter Audrey that these super cute images are named after! :)
You see, it all started out with a free image from The Stamping Boutique, after I got this, I HAD TO have more!!! Especially since there's a whole collection of Audrey images!!!
Here's the card I made this weekend using Cooking Audrey (something I don't enjoy doing at all!)
Card Details: Digi Image: The Stamping Boutique, Patterned Paper: The Paper Studio, Sentiment: Studio G,Misc.:Ribbon, Copics to color, Trifold Card: American Crafts

One more thing........
My hubby is on vacation this week so I don't have alot of "me" time! So today I worked on a quick project
for Valentine's Day.
I started out with some packages of Grandma's Chocolate Chip cookies. I then printed out some Mini Valentine's by Whimsiedoodles. I colored them in, adhered them to cardstock and then strung ribbon through them to attach them to the pack of cookies!
Here you have it! My quick, fun project for today!!

Details: Digi Image: Whimsiedoodles, Cookies: Grandma's Cookies, Ribbon and Cardstock

Thanks for visiting, have a wonderful Monday ~God bless!
