Spring has arrived and my Pinterest Fail!

Oh MY gosh!!! Where has the time gone!? It has been forever since I have updated this blog. Life just seems to get in the way of my "ME" time. I honestly haven't had much time for crafting, this includes my bible journaling. I miss all of this so much and promise to be back in the swing of things soon.  I am SOOO excited to be getting my own craft room!!! I still need to decorate it and do some organizing, but when it's done, I will surely share it with you!

I love Spring! It's like a rebirth for earth. What once was gray and brown, is now green and filled with bright colors from all the flowers! The birds are chirping, bees are buzzing and flowers are blooming!

I hope you had a wonderful Easter, these crafts aren't anything spectacular, but I wanted to make my kiddos a little Easter treat. So here it is:

My 3 are all in their 20's, I also included my son's fiance. Boxes are from WalMart, they are filled w/ candy and for the girls I added some of the Target $1 sticky notes. Jars are recycled, and these little bunnies barely fit. I added some Foiled wrapped chocolate eggs,  but they would only fit in the back.
This was a Pinterest Fail! LOL

I also wanted to share some cute critters from around our place, just for fun!

Meet Otis, my neighbor's miniature donkey:

This is Mocha! My 2 yr. old Chocolate Lab.

And her brother Cocoa!

These cute little kittens don't have names, as we are hoping to find them a good home soon!

Have a wonderful Monday!!
Blessings,
audrey

Easter Treats that keep on giving....

So sorry this is posting late. I meant to come back earlier during the week but our internet was down.

I wanted to share this idea with you. I found these super cute plastic mason jar mugs at WalMart for $5! With the bright colored lids and straw they are just adorable for those cool summer drinks!!!

I filled them with Easter candy and tied on a ribbon. I was going to add an Easter banner but forgot. Oh well...you get the idea:
Enjoy the candy today...and the mug for many more days!!! Great for those hot summer days ahead!

Hope you have a wonderful Easter!
God bless!!!

Meljen's Designs Challenge #101

Happy Thursday to you! It's been a beautiful week and I'm in the mood for spring! We've got a fun challenge going on over at Meljen's Designs. Challenge #101 says to use Lace. Well, my second favorite hobby is sewing and I couldn't find any of my lace! So...I used my Martha Stewart LACE punch, and a crocheted lace flower. Hope you find the time this week to play along.

Happy Easter!

Well, it's almost Easter! One more day!! Hope your Saturday is going well. Here is a card I made using an image from Tiddly Inks:

Card Details: Digi Image--Tiddly Inks, Patterned Paper-The Paper Studio, Border Punch-Martha Stewart, Circles-Nestabilities, Ribbon-Offray, Misc. Glossy Accents on glasses, Marvy Uchida white gel pen on Easter egg.

Even though I like to celebrate the fun part of Easter--the cute colors, yummy candy, boiled eggs, good food etc...I will never forget the true meaning of Easter.

Jesus died for our sins, he was put on a cross, died and buried in a tomb. On the third day he rose again.
Jesus has risen and lives today!

Matthew 28:1-10

After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.

The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."

So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."

Thank you for letting me share this. May your Easter be filled with many blessings!

Well, this is what I like to call them!!! I love making these treat sticks for all occassions. This is the first time I have made them for Easter!

Friends Forever

**Please scroll down for my Meljen's Designs New Releases and New Challenge.

This is my 2nd post for today because tomorrow I am supposed to take my daughter shopping for a prom dress. That will be an all day event! And...knowing me, I'll either forget to post this OR get too lazy to post this card for Challenge #59 over at Sassy Cheryl's. This week's challenge week is
"Think Spring".  This is so easy for me to do because I live in South Texas so it's been spring for about a month now! LOL

And look at my card...no ribbon, no stickles and no bling! I'm shocked myself! I always seem to add those to my cards...but not with this one. I was aiming for a more simple look so I could hightlight the super cute image!

Card Details: Digi Image-Sassy Cheryl's, Patterned Papers-Doodlebug Designs, The Paper Studio, Sentiment-Microsoft Works, Border Punch-Fiskars, Machine Stitching, Chalks and Copics to color.

These past few days I've been participating in challenges to get myself to create more cards to give. And it's worked. I'm sure my husband wishes I'd join a housecleaning challenge so I could get more housework done...but that wouldn't be any fun would it!? LOL

Have a great day!

**I am also entering this in Craft Challenge's challenge for this week. Their theme this week is "Easter".  It is being sponsored by Whimsie Doodles.

I'm so behind....

So sorry!!! I have fallen behind for today's post!! I had some cards on the table ready to have their picture taken. Well, lastnight my 4 yr. old nephew stopped by to visit. He was hungry. We sat him down at the table to eat something, gave him some orange kool-aid to drink he grabbed the placement. I will leave the rest up to your imagination!!!
My first card is for Joni's Challenge at Raise the Bar challenge blog! The theme this week was April Showers! Make something related to the weather.
I am using this card:
Card Details: Digi Image: Phindy's Place, Dp: Making Memories, Sentiment: Microsoft Word, Mis. Ribbon, Button, Floss, Glossy Accents on the puddle and rain drops. Paperpieced the raincoat.

I wish I could show you the original card I made to use, but my nephew altered that with his orange kool-aid!
