Welcoming Fall with some Handmade Cards

Happy Tuesday!! You know, I used to create cards on a regular basis. I was a stay-at-home wife and Mom and made cards for many Digi Stamp companies. I would also create cards to sell at a near by craft store. Then about 4 yrs ago, my last chick-a-dee flew the nest and I went back to work.
I LOVE my job, I really do! But some days, I miss my leisurely days of getting up, having a cup of coffee, putting some clothes to wash, and then pulling out my craft supplies to create the day away!

These are some cards that I have created in the past few weeks:

Card Details: Digi Stamp Image by ALL THAT SCRAPS, Patterned Paper: The Paper Studio,
"Hello!" stamp-Studio G, Ink: Staz-On

Card Details: Digi Image: Unknown, I will have to look up and link later, Happy Halloween Stamp: Studio G, Web Border Punch: Martha Stewart, Patterned Paper: The Paper Studio scraps

Happy to be doing what I love!!!

Love what you do, Do what you love!

DIY: Fabric Pumpkins

Just in time for FALL weather! Well, atleast for some of you! I'm in south Texas so Fall won't really arrive til' maybe October!! But just looking at all the Fall decor puts me in the mood to craft and get ready for all the pretty fall colors!

The other day I was gifted an Orange Pancho Wrap, it was too big for me but was really nice. I looked at it a bit and thought...it would make some cute pumpkins!!!

So, I got on Pinterest and started looking for a pattern, because I wasn't sure if my idea of putting a plate down on the fabric and tracing around it would work.

I did find this one and it looked so fast and easy:
Fabric Pumpkins.

Here they are:

The only things I purchased was the Fiber Fill (stuffing) $3.74 and Green Burlap leaves $1.34 for 6, both from WalMart.

The pancho was free, and I had the brown yarn, wine corks and twine.

Then, since I was having such fun making these, I made some small ones:

Wishing you a wonderful Saturday!

This week in my MAMBI Happy Planner

Happy Monday to you!!! I am having a great Monday so far...I took the day to rest, clean and hopefully craft!!!
Today I'd like to share this week with you. I have been loving my MAMBI Happy Planner.
I have the "GREAT THINGS ARE GOING TO HAPPEN PLANNER". I bought this at Hobby Lobby with my 40% off coupon.

Here is the week so far:
The printed paper in the squares is actually scraps of scrapbooking paper. I believe the orange print is by Basic Grey 4x4 paper pad and the woodland critters print is by The Paper Studio. These are older papers but I love using my scraps like this. The dotted washi and MAMBI stickers are from Hobby Lobby. The owl washi was received in  a swap and didn't have packaging. Not sure who makes this. The leaf washi I believe is from Target's $1 spot (last year). The round bday sticker is by Heidi Swapp, found this package at Michael's.

Here's the left page.

And here's the right page.

Thanks for stopping by!!!
Have a super BLESSED Monday!!

Week 44 in my Ochre Malden

Yes, this is my 2nd post for today. Taking advantage of being home. I'm loving it!

I don't really "do" Halloween. All of our kids are grown and out of the house. We live out in the country so no visiting trick or treaters. and...we don't celebrate Halloween.
So I did pumpkins, mouse and owls!

The black washi is by Smash, and the stickers are from Target's $ spot.
The cute owl paperclip was bought off a person on a Facebook group.
For Fall, I'm using my Personal size Ochre Malden.

Have a great day!

"Selebrating" September!!

I know, I know...I spelled Celebrating wrong, but it looked so much better with an "S" since it's for September!!
Today I made a card for my sister. She absolutely loves the month of September! She has even declared it National Apple Month!
Here it is in her words: (I'm sure she won't mind me posting her quote on Aug.31st)

"Tomorrow marks the first day of my favorite month, September. I refer to her as the "Apple month". I love to incorporate apples in our daily meals and drink natural applejuice. I also refer to September as the "quiet month". She drifts in and out barely noticed like the first leaf drifting with the first breezes of Autumn. She is like a fine lady gracefully entering a room. Hail to September!"

So...here is my card for my wonderful sister!!!

Card Details: Digi Image: All That Scraps, Sentiment: Studio G stamps, Patterned Paper: Cosmo Cricket, Ribbon: WalMart, Misc.: Machine Stitching, Copics to color

I also wanted to show you a cute little container of Sixlets I found at WalMart. They are pulling out all the Halloween candy and I just love looking at it!!! I think I might decorate the lid with a cute digi stamp and send it to my son in college!!!

They even come with the ribbon!!! I can just see these decorated really cute and then put on a teacher's desk!!! They had other flavors but Sixlets are my fave!!!
Thanks for visiting today! Have a wonderful Friday!!! And a safe Labor Day weekend!
