New DT and Challenge!

This past weekend has been like a rollercoaster ride for me! During the past week I learned I was a new member on several design teams...I am super excited. THEN...on Saturday morning, my life turned upside down. My dad, who was this rough and tough cowboy, suffered a stroke. He is still in the hospital, so if my blog posts and challenge entries don't seem up to par, this is why. I don't have alot of "me" time, and emotionally and physically I am drained. I have faith in God that He will pull all of us through this!

My entry today is for a new Design Team that I am now on: MyGrafico. This week's theme is Challenge #110, Back to School. I love this new challenge...seems like lots of fun!

Blast from the Past!!!

Good Friday morning to you! This week at Meljen's Designs we were asked to share the very 1st card made as a Design Team member!

Well, here is mine, from wayyyyy back in September of 2010. It's so hard to believe it's almost been a whole year. I guess time does fly when you are having fun! LOL

I am SO excited about fall. It is my favorite season! I have already begun working on my fall crafts! Yesterday I started working on some Halloween hair bows and necklaces. And then..I started working on a Fall wreath! I will share photos with you soon.

Going Gothic!!!

An Exciting Announcement!

I've got some pretty exciting news to share! I was thrilled to receive an email from Heidi of 2 Cute Rubber Stamps yesterday. She informed me that I was selected as one of her new DT members!

How cool is this!? I cannot wait to get started on challenges and meet the other wonderful DT members!

Challenge #70-Back to School

Well, it's August! We all know what that means..."Back to School". I love this time of the year. My kids are mostly grown, two in college, on left at home and this is her Senior Year! So bittersweet! But I still love browsing through the Back to School section at stores. I love the smell of new spirals, pencils, erasers, etc. Yep...call me crazy, but I love school and office supplies! LOL

Anyhow, this is the theme for our Challenge #70.

Another HOT Day!!

Gosh, it's been so dreadfully HOT in south Texas this week! I can hardly stand to be outside! So..I've been spending alot of time inside crafting and cardmaking.

I don't know about you, but every time I bake cookies I have someone in the house that declares themselves the "Cookie Tester", so I guess it's only appropriate that I present them with a card.

Ladybugs Bring Good Luck

This is what I have heard..."Ladybugs bring good luck", and right now I need some good luck!!! These last 2 weeks of July have been very stressful and I'm ready to say "Goodbye"!
So with today being August 1st, I can only pray for better days. My car is home and according to Chevrolet is as "good as new". Okay...we will see.

My daughter, who is a high school cheerleader, has started MINI Cheer Camp today. The cheerleaders host this every summer as a fundraiser. It's so cute to see those little girls dressed up little cheerleaders. I remember taking my daughter when she was about 4. She's been cheering ever since!
