Journaling Bible: Romans 15:13

Monday is once again upon us...AND we are wrapping up 2014.  As I started to think about 2015, I looked for verses that would express what I hope 2015 brings for me and my family. This one hit the spot....Joy and Peace in believing....
Romans 15:13-
"May the God of hope fill you with all the Joy and Peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope."

I apologize for the bad picture quality...it's been cloudy most of the day...and cold!

These are the supplies I used...Kraft stickers from Target's $1 spot, and a pack of Christmas stickers from my stash by Creative Imaginations.

Thanks for stopping in!
Have a wonderful Monday!

Week 1: Personal Ochre Malden

Wow!!! Week 1 of 2015!!! Can you believe it?! The New Year is upon us!!! Along with my salvation, I am wishing for peace, joy, good health, and happiness...I am also hoping to be MORE organized this year. I tend to get stressed and overwhelmed when I have lots to do. Having a planner helps me lay it all out, plan a strategy (ya, right...who am I kidding! LOL) , and feel accomplished when it's done!

I'm still using my Personal Ochre Malden and still loving it! I'm thinking I might do some switching around of my dividers. Possibly deleting and adding a couple...we shall see.
I'm not sure who makes the thin washi, it was gifted to me. The blue washi is by My Mind's Eye. The quote on a card is by We R Memory Keepers, found these at WalMart. The little tab on it was glued on..it's from the SMASH collection.

Like I said, I'm hoping to be better organized. I found this cute thing at Dollar General for $4! I think I might run back for a couple more!!!

Here it is with a few of my supplies...I love that I can bring it to the table, or bedroom, or anywhere else with ease! :)

Thanks for visiting! Have a wonderful week!!!

Journaling Bible: Luke 2:11 A Savior Is Born!

Hope each and every one of you had a blessed Christmas! I meant to post this for Christmas Day itself, but just got to finish it today. I started this on Christmas Eve, but then the chaos kicked in and it had to wait. Today I found some quiet time to celebrate the true meaning of Christmas...
the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ!

Luke 2: 11 and 14: "For unto you is born this day in the city of David, a Savior who is Christ the Lord....."
"Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among those with whom he is pleased"

The stamp I used is by StampCraft..I've had it for a few years.
I used a StazOn ink pad to stamp my image.

I forgot to take a pic of the chalks I used and the Copic Markers to color my image, but here are the other supplies. Stickers by Sticko and The Paper Studio, my Papermate Flair marker and Kraft stickers from Target's $1 spot.

Thank you for stopping by! And again,
 Merry Christmas!

Week 52:Planning for Christmas Week

Boy, this is gonna be a busy week. And honestly, I am not ready for Christmas!!! How many times in our lives are we actually ready for this big day??
It's not the shopping that is overwhelming me...it's the preparing. Wrapping, cleaning house, getting gifts out, cooking, etc. And to make matters worse I have been under the weather, my voice is gone, congestion, cough, fever..you name it. I just want to get to the day, enjoy it, and have it be over. :)

So...to help keep me organized this week, I've got my Personal size Ochre Malden:

I cut some cardstock down to use it as  a "base" to hold my "to-do" list. This is where I jot down all those things I will have to do.

Okay...now back to my busy evening. Hoping to have some quiet time to work in my journaling bible.

Hello from our rescue dog:

he's the love of my life.........

Have a blessed Sunday evening.

Journaling Bible: My Grace is Sufficient for You

Hope you had a wonderful weekend. Monday is here again, and time for another busy work week. I enjoy my weekends, where I can sneak in some quiet time and journal in my bible.
I use an ESV Journaling Bible by Crossway.

For this image, I am thankful for the talent of Andrea at A Work of Heart. She was kind enough to share this image with us. Andrea is so talented and creative!!!!

This is from  2 Corinthians 9, 10:

These are the supplies I used. I colored in my image w/ Copic Markers, and did some coloring over the bottom verse w/ my water color pencils by Oxford. I like to use the thin, mini glue dots by Elmer's to adhere my print out to my bible page. A few markers and a stamp here and there, and I was done.

Thanks for stopping by! It's always a joy to see my visitors!

Have a blessed Monday!

"God will NOT be mocked, you REAP what you SOW! "

Now Ain't the Truth?! This verse has been around for many, many years. Many know it by heart, and many have lived it. We all Reap what we Sow!!!

Clear Stamp by Pure Innocence, various alphabet stickers, Blue Washi was found in a set at Michael's and Salmon colored washi is from Target's $1 spot ( I LOVE that SPOT!)
The "Illustrated By" stamp is by Basic Grey.

Week 50 in my Personal Ochre Malden & My NEW Favorite Pen!!!

HI there!! Hope your Sunday is going well!!! Today I am sharing Week 50 in my Ochre Malden.
I just love this planner of mine. I love the size, the color, and all it's cute little pockets!!

Please forgive my photos...they are not the greatest. I took them on Saturday night, so my lighting was not THE best. :)

The page flags and dotted washi are from Target's $1 spot. The Chevron Washi and Memory cards were found at WalMart.

I found this paper in one of my hubby's old work notebooks. I love that one side is graph paper and the other side is lined paper!
I cut it down and punched holes in it to fit into my planner!

And now...for my NEW Favorite Pen! I found it at Alco yesterday and fell in love with it!
All Alco's are going out of business so everything is 20-40% off.
I made a bee-line for the office supplies!
These pens are by Pentel and called Finito. It's black, permanent ink that does not bleed through and it has an EXtra Fine Tip!!!
I paid $3.19 for all 3 pens!!!

So there you have it...Week 50 in my planner this week!!!
Hope your week is a wonderful one!

Journaling Bible: Going Forward

Hi there! I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving. I am thankful that all three of my kids made it home to spend a couple of days with us. I always worry about them on the road, but thanks to God, they made it home safely...and then back to their homes safe and sound. It's always a blessing to have all 3 under one roof!

Today I'm sharing Philippians 3:13 with you. I always have to remind myself to always look forward, to stop looking back. Looking back at my past life, my regrets, my mistakes, etc. God told me in a dream about a year ago..."Move forward..." I think I've always dwelled on my mistakes and how they have hindered my relationship with God.

So..I have been working on moving foward, looking to what's ahead, and growing closer to God. Focusing on the end result

I treated myself to these markers by PaperMate. I was concerned about them maybe bleeding through my pages. I only used the black color, and it did not bleed through! {{big smile}}
I have also used these in my Filofax planner and they did not bleed through those pages either.

And this is our rescue dog, Handsome! This was taken on
Thanksgiving Day. I think
he looks quite content!

Have a wonderful Monday!!!

Journaling Bible-Acts 4:12

Happy Tuesday to you!!! Boy I have been so busy with work and getting ready for Thanksgiving. I hadn't had any time to sit down with my journaling bible.

I worked on this one the other night....and it felt so wonderful to finally have some quiet time to reflect on God's word.

Acts 4:12 "And there is SALVATION in no one else for there is NO OTHER name under Heaven."

You can only find your Salvation through ONE God.....our God.

Details: Letter stickers: The Paper Studio, Round sticker: Dear Lizzy, at the bottom: Washi Tape

I am enjoying my afternoon off. Hoping to get some crafting done! Have a blessed day!

Who Rescued Who?

My son sent me this sign the other night that said, "Who Rescued Who?"

He said it reminded him of me and our new rescue: Handsome. I guess it's true to some point, because when I'm holding him, or playing with him, I think to myself...who's happier, Me? or Handsome? LOL

This was "Hank" and "Handsome" (we named them because they had no tags) back in September when we found them along a busy intersection about 5 miles out of town.
Hank is up for adoption at the San Antonio Human Society, I still worry about
him. I KNOW he's in good hands there, but I just hope and pray he finds a forever loving home.
We had 3 big dogs already, and just could not keep both of them.

And this is Handsome. He gets along well with our poodle Bella. They play together which is big plus, because Bella needed a playmate.

Have a blessed Wednesday!

Thanks again to Judy's Ark and Fresh and Clean Dog Grooming for all their help!

Week 46 in my Ochre Malden & Some Handmade Dividers

First of all...Thank YOU to all the service men and women that have served and protected our country in the past and present. God bless each and every one of you. I, myself, have several veteran's in our family. Thank you!!!!

Everyone that knows me, knows I love animals....always have. They are God's creatures, and I care for them Great and Small.

For Week 46 I'm using some super cute dog stickers I found at WalMart, plus I'm using a Poodle Paper clip that I bought off someone on our Facebook group. :) I'm so happy I got these from her!

The other day I was at Michael's and found these on clearance for $3.

I loved the dividers w/ tabs at the top. It had cardstock sheets, embossed papers?, stickers, and 4 sheets of photo page protectors. (I'll show you how I used those on another post later).

I cut some of the dividers to fit my  planner and laminated them. Now they fit perfectly in
my Personal size Ochre Malden Planner.

I will using the other bits and pieces of this kit when I'm making handmade cards.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a blessed Tuesday.

Journaling Bible: Jeremiah 31:3

Happy Monday to all of you! Hope your week has started out with a smile! I am off today so it was so nice getting up at my own my pace. No rushing around...even got to make breakfast for the hubby and myself!

Today's verse is Jeremiah 31:3
"I have loved you with an Everlasting love."

Again, I used random stickers. I have such a large stash from my scrapbooking days, so I usually
look thru that before shopping. The "Love" sticker was from a valentine's set. It said "Love Stuck" so I just cut it apart. :)
I found the Washi Tape at Home Goods in a set of 4.

Have a wonderful Monday!

Journaling Bible: Be Still.......

Hope your Friday is going well! I am enjoying my day off. Taking things slow and trying to get some stuff done around the house.
I stopped for a while, to do some journaling in my bible.

In all honesty...I started this page with Distress Ink...and thought, "OMG! What have I done!?"
I've seen others use it, and it looks so pretty...but when I applied it, I knew for sure, I had ruined my page.
I took a step back, took a deep breath, and thought to myself, "It will be okay. You are not trying to win an art contest. Keep going." Which by the way, I could never win any kind of art prize!! LOL

Isaiah 46:10: "Be Still and Know that I am God."

I used some alphabet stamps for "be" by Autumn Leaves.
The word "STILL" is some rub-ons by Making Memories that I normally LOVE using, but I'm guessing w/ the distress ink had a hard time sticking....
The other letters are random alphabet stickers.
In all...it's okay. Not one of my favorites...but the verse itself IS one of my faves!!!

Have a wonderful Friday!!!

Journaling Bible......Arise, Shine.....

Hope your week has started out well. It sure has been a busy one so far!

Today's entry is plain, in my opinion. I guess because I don't usually aim to "Wow" someone with my layouts. I go with how I am feeling, or a simple way to get the verse across.

So here's Isaiah 60:1

"Arise, shine, for you light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you."

Have a great day! Thank you for stopping by my blog.

Journaling Bible: I can do ALL things.........

Good Monday to you!!! Still trying to adjust to this daylight savings, usually takes me a few weeks!

Today I'm sharing, Philippians  4:13

"I can do All things through Him that Strengthens Me!"

Hope you have a blessed Monday!

Week 45 in my Planner and Some Rescue Dogs.

This week in my planner I am using this cute dog character I just discovered: Boofle. Why? Well, read below:

About 2 months ago, we discovered these dogs on a busy farm road. Someone had dumped them there to fend for themselves. It took some coaxing but we finally got them to trust us and we put them in our truck and brought them home.

With the help of our local shelter: Judy's Ark and local groomer Fresh and Clean Dog Grooming, they were cleaned up, neutered, and given all shots. They were ready to be adopted into a forever, loving home.

We decided to keep the little one, he was named by our groomer: "Handsome". He got along really well with our black poodle Bella, so we decided to make him a part of our family.

Sadly, we could not keep them both. We already have 4 other dogs of our own.

Here's the before and after photos:

This was back in September when we found them. They slept in brush and among trash. As 18 wheelers and traffic went by them, they sat and waited for their owners to come back.

I named this one Hank, he is up for adoption at the San Antonio Human Society.

And this is Handsome today:

And these are my planner pages for this week...in honor of Hank!
These stickers are super cute. The dog's name is Boofle. Found them at WalMart in the card section.
I've never heard of this character, but
to me, he resembles Hank. A dog I am thankful I got to help.

This is in my personal size Ochre Malden.

and in my A5 Pink Domino.

Have a wonderful Sunday!!

Week 44 in my Ochre Malden

Yes, this is my 2nd post for today. Taking advantage of being home. I'm loving it!

I don't really "do" Halloween. All of our kids are grown and out of the house. We live out in the country so no visiting trick or treaters. and...we don't celebrate Halloween.
So I did pumpkins, mouse and owls!

The black washi is by Smash, and the stickers are from Target's $ spot.
The cute owl paperclip was bought off a person on a Facebook group.
For Fall, I'm using my Personal size Ochre Malden.

Have a great day!

Journaling Bible: Luke 1:37

Hi there! Hope you are having a wonderful Monday!! I know I am! I am off from work today...using up those last vacation days.

I'd like to share a very well known bible verse with you today: Luke 1:37 "For Nothing is Impossible with God".

He IS the almighty and makes ALL things possible!

Have a BLESSED day!

Journaling Bible: if God is for Us?

That's all that really matters, right?
have a great day!

Journaling Bible: Caleb

Today is a SPECIAL day!!!

My first born son turns 25 today! Where have the years gone!?
I remember sitting in church, and I was about 5 months pregnant. I saw the name Caleb in my bible and thought…”that’s his name, we shall name him Caleb”.  I didn’t know at the time, that we were having a boy, but I knew if we did…that was his name!
I remember his first day of kindergarten, teaching him to drive, first day of college, and his move into his new apartment. Some days I miss him so much, he's always been my "right hand man", he was always there for me. Now he's moved on and is a young adult, he makes me extremely proud. Happy Birthday Caleb! Love you to the Moon and back!

So…in honor of my son’s name, I worked on Numbers 14:24:
"But my servant Caleb, because he has a different spirit and has followed me fully, I will bring into the land into which he went, and his descendants shall possess it."

Have a blessed day!

Happy Birthday Lil' Cowboy!

This past weekend, we celebrated my nephew's 1st Birthday. His parents, mostly his mama, did a wonderful job at decorating for the party. She even set up a  "photo prop" w/ hay bales, pumpkins, and my dad's saddle. My nephew had a wonderful time!

I wanted his 1st birthday cards to be special, so these are the 2 that I made for him.

Image by 2 Cute Rubberstamps. Stars and printed cardstock are by ___. and Stickers are by____. Will have to come back and edit because I'm typing this at work on my lunch break and can't remember! LOL

This image is by Pink Cat Studios.

Thanks for visiting! Have a wonderful Tuesday!!

Journaling Bible: Hold Fast....

Happy Monday to you! Heard this verse in church yesterday and it stuck. So I thought I'd journal it lastnight.
This is in Revelations 3:11: Hold fast what you have, so that NO ONE may seize your Crown!

I'm not sure who makes the pink and blue alphabet stickers, they are extras from an open package. The black ones used in seize are by Stickos. Found those at Michael's. Crown is by Hallmark I believe.
Page flag are from Target's $1 spot.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend! I did! We celebrated my nephew's 1st Birthday with a Lil' Cowboy themed party. I'll show you pictures of the cards I made for him on tomorrow's post.
Have a blessed day!

Journaling Bible: God is my Strength and My Song

Hope you are having a wonderful Saturday! I know I am. It's a beautiful day!!!

Thought I'd share this verse with you....it brings a smile to my heart.

Exodus 15:2--"The Lord is my Strength and my Song and He has become my Salvation."

These are the supplies I used. I forgot to take a picture of the little bird rubberstamp I used. It's been out of the packaging so I'm not sure who makes this one. It's those that you buy for about 1.50 and they come by themselves. All of this stuff is from my scrapbooking stash. I did find this cute paper pad at Ross for $3, it's by Basic Grey.
Everything here is from my stash too, except those adorable Pink Alphabet stickers, but daughter got me those at Hobby Lobby...by The Paper Studio.

Have a Blessed Saturday!!!
