Hope your Friday is going well! I am enjoying my day off. Taking things slow and trying to get some stuff done around the house.
I stopped for a while, to do some journaling in my bible.
In all honesty...I started this page with Distress Ink...and thought, "OMG! What have I done!?"
I've seen others use it, and it looks so pretty...but when I applied it, I knew for sure, I had ruined my page.
I took a step back, took a deep breath, and thought to myself, "It will be okay. You are not trying to win an art contest. Keep going." Which by the way, I could never win any kind of art prize!! LOL
Isaiah 46:10: "Be Still and Know that I am God."
I used some alphabet stamps for "be" by Autumn Leaves.
The word "STILL" is some rub-ons by Making Memories that I normally LOVE using, but I'm guessing w/ the distress ink had a hard time sticking....
The other letters are random alphabet stickers.
In all...it's okay. Not one of my favorites...but the verse itself IS one of my faves!!!

I'm just getting started -- I've been journaling in a separate journal for Bible Studies and devotionals, but am going to take the plunge and read through the Bible in 2015 and use a Journaling Bible.
I LOVE this verse and LOVE what you did. How did you do the distress ink? Just stamp it on the page and let it dry? I'm very nervous about "messing up" my brand new Bible... and will have to remind myself frequently that it's not a contest!!! Thanks for sharing!
HI Jaymie! Thank you for visiting my blog.
To apply the distress ink, I used what I had at home. I live 10 miles from the nearest store. So...I used one of those make sponges..you know the triangular shaped ones? I dabbed on the ink pad, and then randomly dabbed on my page. Please keep in mind, that I always use a sheet of scratch paper, cardstock, or cardboard to protect my other pages. I take it out when my design dries.
I wish you the best of luck w/ your Bible and Journaling Bible in 2015. God Bless you....
What is your favorite journaling bible? There are so many to choose from. Thanks!
Anna Payne...I use an ESV Journaling Bible by Crossway. I bought in online at Family Christian Stores. I don't have alot of experience w/ journaling bibles, but I really enjoy using this one because it's not too big, nor too small. Just the right size for me. I also loved the color.
