For now, I'd like to share this recipe binder with you. I made it for a challenge over at:
Magnolia Down Under Challenges. For the challenge you have to use a Magnolia image and a Charm. I just got these charms and have been enjoying them. I found the binder at Big Lots for $3, the charms were a package of 5 for $1.50!! I love this little spatula charm!!!

It's Finally Friday!!!

All week I've been trying  to slow the days down! My "to do" list was massive!!! I had to alter my daugher's prom dress for prom on Saturday. I  was asked to take in her bf's vest, I had a scrapbook to make for a Senior Ticket Raffle, I had taxes to do by the 15th, 2 letters to write, and my list goes on!!!LOL
I had to sneak in time to work on my card challenges for this week. And I have to admit, after working on all my "to do's".......my mojo was gone!
My first card is for our Raise the Bar Challenge blog. The theme this week was to make a card based on our favorite movie. I have to admit, I don't have much time to watch movies, and this one had me stumped. But then I remembered that The Wizard of Oz has always been my all time favorite movie!

Life in the country is NOT boring!

Like my blog heading says....sometimes our days are boring, other times an adventure! Unfortunately, these past few weeks have been quite the opposite of boring. Today, we had inmates escape from a prison about 5 miles from our home. I was leaving the house for my kid's golf tournament when I noticed all the commotion. Helicopter, cop cars, a big truck that had the State of Texas seal on it.....
So..here's their picture and the report:

Updated today at 11:01 AM
Two inmates have escaped from a prison in Dilley, Texas, state officials say.

Texas Department of Criminal Justice officials say Jose Bustos-Diaz, 21, and Octavio Ramos Lopez, 27, were last seen Tuesday morning. Officials believe they cut through a fence and escaped the Briscoe Unit of the Dilley jail on foot.
The jail is about 75 miles southwest of San Antonio.

Bustos-Diaz is serving 35 years for a murder that happened in Harris County.

Lopez is serving 20 years for two counts of aggravated kidnapping, and he's serving another 12 years for possession of cocaine with intent to deliver. The crimes happened in Hidalgo County.

Living in the country is supposed to be peaceful.....one day I wish for the return of the peace!!!

Have a great, safe day!!!

Happy Monday!

Whew!! We have survived another Easter! And how great it was! The Lord has Risen!! I love starting out my Easter morning with sunrise service at 6am. I love hearing the sermon about Jesus' resurrection. And then, finishing off the service with a delicious breakfast! Then...we head home for a morning nap...and we all rise and are ready to go to enjoy our Easter day!!! It was great!
So......now it's Monday and my "Honey To Do" List is so long! I hope I have enough hours in my day to finish it  off!!!
I'd like to start my day by reading up on some of my favorite blogs! This one caught my eye because she is giving away some awesome Blog Candy! Yep, Kellie has this awesome Swiss Pixies Kit to give away!
I hope I win!!!! :)
Best of luck to you!!
