Embrace your Crazy!

Well, I have to admit.... I have my good days, and I have my bad days. Today, seems to be one of those "off" days. I have so much to do and I'm just not "feeling it". Sorta have the blues if you know what I mean.
The sun is shining and it's a beautiful day........but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by life and let down by some of the people in it.
Not my family....just acquaintances that I feel took advantage of me. Sorta hurts your spirit.  

So..I thought I'd share this card with you. I have crazy days like this rabbit, but instead of pulling my ears out..I wanna pull my hair out! LOL

A Little Love Note

Good day to all my online friends. I'm finishing up some Valentine cards this week and thought I'd pop in and share this one with you. I don't have alot of Valentine papers and live about an hour from Hobby Lobby. So, I'm really trying to use what I have on hand. All you see here are scraps, from cardstock to dp!

I used some "non traditional" colors for this one. I have also been trying to use my scraps and little embellies that I've been 'hoarding' instead of using! he,he!!! I also did not have a Sassy Cheryl's Valentine image..SOOO, I put a Valentine in her hand!!!

Good Tuesday morning to you! Today, I felt like making a "boy" card. I usually make girlie cards because I love working with girlie images, and as most know...my favorite color is pink!

I have used this image before, and really love it. So today, I used a sentiment from Create with TLC and paired it with an image from Sassy Cheryl.

Stick Your Tongue Out!

Boy, yesterday I was in "this" mood! My day was hectic and busy, I had errands to run and jobs to be done!

I was basically on schedule until my new car decided to pull a "fast one" on me and break down!!! Yep, I heard this noise, looked around and saw GUNK all over my front tire. Long story short...my brake line, or axel line had come loose and leaked all the grease or GUNK (as I call it) out! It was not driveable! Luckily, my Mom lives in town, so she gave my daughter and I a ride home. Thanks MOM! :)

Anyway, I was so bummed when I got home. My car was towed to the car doctor ,I mean dealership for repair and I am now using my husbands gas guzzler, truck.

So I thought this card would be appropriate for today:

I thought I'd title today's post this way to go with my two Challenge Cards! Yes...I completed 2 cards today!

The first is for Mo's Challenge #83--Distressing. I printed this image out a long time ago, and just hadn't gotten up to using it, until today that is!!!! I distressed the edges of my papers and added distress ink by Ranger.

Card Details: Digi Image--Mo's Digital Pencil, Patterned Paper-The Paper Studio, Border Punch-Martha Stewart, Tag-Avery, Misc. "Bakers Twine"--I don't own any, so I made my own. I had a spool of twine and used a pink marker to make the lines. Button and Machine Stitching, Pink Flower was from a package I received from Tiffany Ervin's blog candy.

The other card I made is for two challenges: 1. Sassy Cheryl's Challenge #65-Let's Get Patriotic!

and 2. Simon Says Challenge-Stars and Stripes

I didn't actually have a "Patriotic" image by Sassy Cheryl's, so I modified my image by printing out a flag I googled and cut it out and pasted it over the flower image.

Busy, Busy Weekend!

I had a really busy weekend, but it was a great one! The weather was perfect for being outside!
On Saturday I spent my afternoon working on cards...all kinds,  Easter, challenge cards, new release cards, etc!
And today is deadline day...not for the challenges but for Taxes! Ohhh, the dreaded taxes! To get my mind of the gloom of today, I will treat you with some cute cards! That should cheer us all up! :)

On Friday I had to work at the shop. It's a country crafts shop so we have lots of eye candy to look at. I saw a sign that a customer bought and it said, "A Good Friend is All Ears." Well, upon seeing that I immediately thought of this image by Sassy Cheryl's! I couldn't wait to get home and create my card!!!

Funny how 'crafters' minds' never turn off! Our wheels are always spinning with new ideas! LOL

Friends Forever

This is my 2nd post for today because tomorrow I am supposed to take my daughter shopping for a prom dress. That will be an all day event! And...knowing me, I'll either forget to post this OR get too lazy to post this card for Challenge #59 over at Sassy Cheryl's. This week's challenge week is
"Think Spring".  This is so easy for me to do because I live in South Texas so it's been spring for about a month now! LOL

And look at my card...no ribbon, no stickles and no bling! I'm shocked myself! I always seem to add those to my cards...but not with this one. I was aiming for a more simple look so I could hightlight the super cute image!

Celebrate!

In our family, October is FULL of birthdays!!! My son and I celebrated our bdays on the SAME day last weekend, then it was my friend's and niece's bday on Monday, today is my nephew's bday, tomorrow is another friend's bday, and then...there are about 5 more before October is over!!!
So...for the month of October, I make plenty of birthday cards!
I made this card for my niece and paired it with a cute spiral lollipop and a matching, wrapped Hershey bar!

Sweet Stop Saturday!

It feels so good to be able to be able to slow down and relax this weekend. Last week I didn't get to participate because my son was graduating High School and we had 4-5 parties to attend last weekend!!! I was pooped by Sunday night!LOL
I'm so happy to be able to show you SSS 59 from The Sweet Stop.  Here's the sketch:

I don't have an 'oval' template yet. So I used a circle. I think it fits quite alright with the sketch.
