Happy Friday to all of you!!! I, on the other hand, don't always look forward to Fridays. Why? Well, I'm a part time "stay at home Mom"...so weekends means..everyone is home with me. Hubby and 2 of my 3 kids. So it's usually more cooking, running around, household stuff, etc that gets done on weekends. It's not that I do not enjoy my time with my family, but I'm one of those "routine girls", I'm used to my weekly routine and this is just a break in that. Which is just fine with me!

Okay....enough chatter! LOL Here's my card for today:

Embrace your Crazy!

Well, I have to admit.... I have my good days, and I have my bad days. Today, seems to be one of those "off" days. I have so much to do and I'm just not "feeling it". Sorta have the blues if you know what I mean.
The sun is shining and it's a beautiful day........but I'm feeling a bit overwhelmed by life and let down by some of the people in it.
Not my family....just acquaintances that I feel took advantage of me. Sorta hurts your spirit.  

So..I thought I'd share this card with you. I have crazy days like this rabbit, but instead of pulling my ears out..I wanna pull my hair out! LOL

Challenge #102

Happy Monday to you! Hope your weekend was as wonderful as mine. Now that Spring Break is over, it is time to get back to reality! We didn't do much, but I enjoyed having all 3 of my kids home together. Now they are back to college and work.
Today we've got a new challenge for you over at Craft Your Passion Challenges, this is challenge #102 and the them is

"No image...just a sentiment"

I got this image from Paulette of Create with TLC, it is one of my favorite Bible verses. I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it when I received it.


I found this frame and Goodwill for $2, I just love all the pretty details in it. I almost painted it after I bought it, I'm so glad I didn't because I really like the gold with the Prima flowers. The stick on pearls were white, so I colored them with a sharpie to give them that gold, vintagy look. The leaves are a Martha Stewart punch.

Oh Scraps!!!

I'm sure I'm not alone when I say, I have way too many scraps!!! Well, not too long ago, I made it my personal mission to start using up my scraps. And I tell ya'...it's a great feeling knowing I'm cleaning up my pile, saving money, and the enviroment!

I wrote this tutorial for Meljen's Designs yesterday but just wanted to share it with all my blogging friends.

How to make a card, using and image and scraps:

Step 1: Pick and image; Any image will do, but for this card, I chose a pre-colored image by Meljen's Designs. Available in her shop:


Step 2: Go through your stash and pick out some scraps:

Step 3:Find any embellishments, tools, etc. to go with your card


Step 4: Have fun and put it all together!

You see, the theme is to make an Easel Card..something I've never done before. But after reading a tutorial on Splitcoaststampers...I found that it was easy and fun! I am so glad this challenge came about because otherwise, I may have never tried this technique! And now I can see myself making many more of these easel cards in the future!

I'm addicted to Chalkboard Paint!

I love this stuff!!! It's so fun! If I could paint up every room in my house, I'd be thrilled!!! Well, not every room...but you get my drift!

I had these blank frames from Michael's that I bought over the weekend, I thought with Chalkboard paint they could REALLY be made special. You could add a name, date, message, pictures, etc.

and I couldn't stop there...I found some scrap wood, drilled some holes for hanging

and added some chalk. Fun, fun!!!

Okay.....what's next? Let me go look around for more things to paint!
