April in my MAMBI Happy Planner!!!

Happy Tuesday to you!!! I finally got some time to get to my MAMBI Happy Planner lastnight and decorate my pages just a bit. I used to sit and plan every Sunday evening, but lately my routine has been thrown off by something or other.
Anywho.......here is my April spread. My colors seem a bit off in this photo, is washed out the word? LOL
I did stick with pastels! I love starting out spring with pretty pastels. I made the ribbon paperclip to match.

And here is this week's spread. I'm sorry for the low quality photos, I took these lastnight on my counter.

And this is our "rescue pup", the shelter owner named her Audrey, after me!
My husband rescued her last week from the median of a busy highway. Sadly she had been dumped by her owners and left to fend for herself. I fostered her for about a week, and today, she goes to a wonderful shelter in San Antonio to be adopted.
She had to keep me company at work this morning until our local shelter, Judy's Ark, opened up.
This morning she was going to get groomed, and then transferred to be neutered and then adopted out to a new, SAFE, home!
I really enjoyed having her, but with 5 dogs of my own, I could not keep her.
I just have to remind myself that this makes room for more dogs to rescue/foster in the future.
It's a bittersweet day for me.

Have a wonderful day!!

MAMBI Happy Planner DIY Tutorial

Good Thursday to you!!! I hope you have had a wonderful week!!
Today I'd like to share with you a simple DIY for your MAMBI Happy Planner.

In February the new MAMBI Happy Planner IG Challenge begins on Instagram. You can get the list from their blog sidebar: MAMBI BLOG
I wanted to keep this list handy in my MAMBI and being able to move it through each new week:

Some may ask, "What is this challenge?" Its a challenge on Instagram, a social media site, where you share photos. So with this list, you post a photo a day for that particular word aka subject. For example on Feb. 1, you post a photo or "selfie" of yourself and type a brief introduction. day 2 Feb 2nd: sticker: Post a photo of your favorite sticker(s), etc.

I found these cute adhesive backed "pockets" at Target's $ Spot. Each package comes with 4 and they are $1. I planned on using them to hold photos in my planner, that way I could switch them out from time to time and move them around in my planner.

But when I saw this challenge, I thought this pocket would work great for my list.

I started out by picking some cardstock to put my pocket on. This is a scrap piece from a 4x4 paper pad.

I used a pencil to mark where to punch my holes.

I used a standard hole puncher and punched the holes in place.

I then used my scissors to cut a "slat" on each side of the holes. This makes it "PoP" into my discs. The second slat I cut was a little too wide, but it still popped into the disc and stayed put.

I put my list into my pocket, and adhered it to my cardstock piece.

Now I have my list for the month of February. I can also replace it with the next Challenge list!

Have a great day!!
Be blessed!!

This week in my MAMBI Happy Planner

Happy Monday to you!!! I am having a great Monday so far...I took the day to rest, clean and hopefully craft!!!
Today I'd like to share this week with you. I have been loving my MAMBI Happy Planner.
I have the "GREAT THINGS ARE GOING TO HAPPEN PLANNER". I bought this at Hobby Lobby with my 40% off coupon.

Here is the week so far:
The printed paper in the squares is actually scraps of scrapbooking paper. I believe the orange print is by Basic Grey 4x4 paper pad and the woodland critters print is by The Paper Studio. These are older papers but I love using my scraps like this. The dotted washi and MAMBI stickers are from Hobby Lobby. The owl washi was received in  a swap and didn't have packaging. Not sure who makes this. The leaf washi I believe is from Target's $1 spot (last year). The round bday sticker is by Heidi Swapp, found this package at Michael's.

Here's the left page.

And here's the right page.

Thanks for stopping by!!!
Have a super BLESSED Monday!!

Disney World Trip in The Happy Planner

Gosh, I didn't realize it had been THIS long since my last post. Life seems to get in the way and I neglect the FUN stuff!!!

Last week, we were at Disney World...it really was a magical vacation! I decided to pack my Happy Planner since I decided I would use it as a Memory Planner.

First of all, excuse the dark photos, looks like it's getting ready to rain.

Here is the overall layout....
Those cute Disney die cuts came from a Instagram swap pal from Taiwan.
The pretty pen was from another Instagram swap pal.

Left side.

Right side. I even added one of the flattened pennies I got at our resort on Tuesday.

Since I started using The Happy Planner I have been carrying my Rolodex punch with me.
I used to use this when I altered rolodex cards..back in my crafting days. But now I love it because I can actually use it to add mementos to my planner.  For example I used it to punch a journaling card and our parking stub from the airport.

Thanks for stopping by!! Have a blessed weekend!!!

This past week in my ECLP

Well we are 1 week into August. And boy does it feel like August in South Texas! It's HOT!!!! Most days are 100-102. This week I decided to use a pack of owls I picked up at WalMart.

Most of the Washi I used is from Hobby Lobby. Quote stickers is my MAMBI.  Thin pink washi is from an online shop: Annie's Boutique.

Making this short today....
Have a blessed Sunday!

Planning in my ECLP-Camping Weekend

Hey there! I feel pretty bad about neglecting this blog. Life has just been busy. I dream of calm and relaxing days ahead. Someday..........

This past weekend, we took our church youth group to a River Retreat. We had a great time!
My hubby and I got there on Friday before everyone else to get things ready. We had not had rain for weeks....well that day...a surprise thunderstorm hit! We were in the cabins turning on A/C's and lights and walked out to the "Welcoming Crew"!
There were about 20 goats taking cover. The rain didn't last long....but it was really nice!

Here is my week in my ECLP-

I used some camping stickers from WalMart (.97), Washi from Target and HobbyLobby and some scraps of card stock cut to fit into the squares. The motivational quotes were found on Pinterest.
I use a fine line Sharpie or my Pentel Finito to write in my ECLP.

Thanks for stopping in ! Have a wonderful Friday!!!

Nothing But Sunshine

We've been getting lots of rain these past few weeks but I am NOT complaining!! God knows south Texas needs lots of rain for the crops, animals, and water sources.

We had an awesome storm on Friday night. I was outside taking pictures with my tablet and spotted this enormous cloud....come to find out, after the fact, we were under a Tornado Warning.
Thank God we were safe and there was no damage. I did get a great shot though:

But since then we have had nothing but beautiful sunshine. So that's my theme in my Filofax pink Calipso for this week. The stickers are from WalMart, they were part of an Easter set. The "Today I'm doing this" stamp is by Recollections. And that big Sun cutout was actually from a Bath & Body flyer I got in the mail. I thought it was so cute I kept it! The polka dotted washi is from Hobby Lobby...my daughter gave me samples. The yellow hold reinforcements are from Annie's Paper Boutique (online)

Thanks for visiting!!! Have an awesome Sunday!!!

This Week in my Erin Condren

Hey there!!! Thought I'd pop in today and show you this week in my Eric Condren Life Planner.

I had so much fun using some washi tape from a cute Pocket Letter I recieved in a swap. It's the aqua one at the bottom with cute words on it!  She also sent me the cute handmade tag and owl stickers!**If you scroll down you can see the entire Pocket Letter an all it's contents!

The purple washi is from my daughter's stash. I was visiting her at college and saw she had THE cutest chevron washi tape. She said she found them at Hobby Lobby! So we grabbed some gift cards from our wallets and i started taking samples!!

And here it is....all ready to go!
Lilac pen is  by Papermate:

Right side: The weekend banner I drew by hand. Also made a matching paperclip:

This Week In my Erin Condren...

Hey there! I know its been a long while since my last post... my hours changed at work and i got really busy!
I have really been enjoying this planner. I love the layout, and the room to write and decorate. This week I have neglected writing it in daily, but I will play "catch-up" on Friday.

The stickers are by The Paper Studio, my daughter got me this set for my birthday.
The "on-the-go" planner bag was found at good will for about $3.
Markers are from Target.
And the pink planner band is actually a head band from Dollar General, 3/$4.

This was actually a cosmetic bag, but works really well for my pens, washi, paperclips, and sticky notes.

Thanks for stopping by! Hoping to get some "me" time on Friday when I am off.

Have a wonderful Wednesday!!!

Using a NEW Planner: Erin Condren Life Planner

TGIF! I had been browsing You Tube videos and came upon many Erin Condren planner videos. After watching a few, I thought I'd try one out. I went to their site and they had a coupon code to use for 25%  off PLUS you get a coupon for a free custom cover. So...I ordered!
On Wednesday my new Erin Condren arrived, like this:
It was packed with some super cute stickers and package labels.

And this is the cover it comes with! What's great about these is they are interchangeable.

The ruler snaps off to use inside your binder...loving their new clear view ruler!

This is this week's layout. I am planning on using this a a "memory planner". I'd like to print my Instagram photos or small photos from time to time and add them:

I found some free printables on Pinterest. The ones I printed out, I found here: Scripture Quotes

I love the Morning, Day and Night layout. Each week I can layout my plans for the day.
I didn't take a picture of the Monthly page, but I will soon.

I used lots of washi tape, the printed quotes, and an "O" stamp to make "check off" lists.

Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful Friday!!!
