Journaling Bible: I am not Perfect!

Happy Friday to you! This week at Documented Faith (Facebook Group), the Verse is:

2 Cor. 4:8
"So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal."

The problem is........I messed up! And I was so upset with myself I wasn't going to show you my entry. You see, this past Sunday was warm so I had the ceiling fan going. I had my page ready to go, but I guess as I looked away at my journaling pieces the ceiling fan blew my page over. I started working on my page, chalking, adhering paper, stickers, my fabric tag, etc.

And I came up with this:

BUT...the problem was...it was SUPPOSED TO go on this page!!! I know that if I hadn't of pointed it out, you probably wouldn't have noticed. But I am a bit of a perfectionist, and I know about it, and it bothered me BIG time!!!! I had to STOP and remind myself that I am NOT perfect. I make goofs in life...everyday. And it's OKAY, it will be OKAY!

Okay...so in a way, to me...this really pertains to the verse. Think about it..."fix your eyes on what is UNSEEN, not on what is SEEN." I need to tell myself to fix my eyes, my thoughts not on what's sitting right in front of me..but the whole picture. The reason I journal. What I see and do is temporary, but what I soak in, what I practice, is eternal!

These are the supplies I used. Chalks, alphabet stickers by  Basic Grey and some cute Fabric Tags also by Basic Grey. I found these at Tuesday morning for under a dollar!!!! Super cute and a bargain!
My bible is an ESV Journaling Bible by Crossway.

Have a wonderful Friday and a blessed Weekend!!!

I LOVE this! What a cool idea. I have never heard of a journaling bible but I love the concept of it. I think you did great! I think it is even better that it did not go "perfectly". Always good lessons in that. I can totally relate to you though. Thanks for sharing anyway. I want to look into doing this.
